Description

A comforting pizza featuring sweet caramelized onions and crispy bacon, topped with gooey mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the pizza dough instructions.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook until the onions are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a separate pan, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  5. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the pizza dough.
  6. Sprinkle the crispy bacon over the onions.
  7. Add mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly, about 12-15 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired and serve hot.
