Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Melt the butter, then stir in the sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
