Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Melt the butter, then stir in the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
