Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon together in a large bowl.
  3. Add the melted butter and milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Fold in the blueberries gently.
  5. Roll the dough out into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together for the filling and sprinkle over the rolled-out dough.
  7. Roll the dough up tightly into a log and slice into rolls about 1 inch thick.
  8. Place the rolls in the greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Mix the icing sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk for the glaze and drizzle over the warm rolls.

Notes

For best results, ensure your butter is melted but not hot and consider using frozen blueberries directly from the freezer.
