Description

A vibrant stir-fry of tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch; marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  3. Add marinated beef to the pan; cook until browned.
  4. Add broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until broccoli is tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Slice the beef against the grain for maximum tenderness. Marinating is key, but don’t exceed 30 minutes to avoid overly salty beef.
