Description

Delightful baked croissants filled with savory ham and melty cheese, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a tasty snack.

Ingredients

  • Croissant dough
  • Ham slices
  • Cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar)
  • Butter
  • Egg (for egg wash)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the croissant dough on a clean surface and cut it into triangles.
  3. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each triangle.
  4. Starting from the wide end, roll the triangle towards the point to form a classic croissant shape.
  5. Place the rolled croissants onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Melt some butter and combine it with an egg for the egg wash.
  7. Brush the tops of the croissants with this mixture for a shiny, golden finish.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they’re beautifully golden brown.
  9. Once out of the oven, allow them to cool for a minute. Serve warm, optionally with mustard on the side.

Notes

Use quality ingredients for the best flavor. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses and add herbs for extra flavor.
