Description

Delicious Asian Tuna Cakes infused with vibrant flavors and a crispy texture, perfect as an appetizer or a light main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the tuna, breadcrumbs, green onions, bell pepper, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Once everything is mixed, take a handful of the mixture and form it into patties.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, ensuring it’s hot enough to give those patties a lovely golden sheen.
  4. Carefully place the patties into the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they’re golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or on a bun as desired.

Notes

For an extra crunch, try adding finely chopped nuts to the mixture. If the mix feels too wet, add more breadcrumbs until it holds together.
