Description

A delightful twist on classic meatloaf, this Asian Style Chicken Meatloaf combines ground chicken with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and green onions for a tender and flavorful dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, cooked rice, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Using your hands or a sturdy spatula, mix the ingredients until everything is well combined.
  4. Shape the mixed ingredients into a loaf and place it into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reads at least 165°F (74°C).
  6. Once done, allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For added nutrition, consider incorporating grated carrots or bell peppers. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
