Description

A delightful Apple Spice Cake that evokes the warm flavors of fall with a blend of spices and tender apples.


Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples and any nuts you wish to include.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan before serving.
