Description

A cozy and comforting apple crumble, perfect for autumn gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 sweet apples, chopped
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the apples into small cubes and sauté them with coconut oil, cinnamon, and salt in a pan for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 180C/350F.
  3. In a food processor, mix the oats, pecans, remaining coconut oil, honey, and water until crumbly.
  4. Grease or line a baking pan, then spread the sautéed apples evenly across the bottom.
  5. Form the crumble mixture into larger crumbs and sprinkle it over the apples.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For added crunch, experiment with different nuts. This crumble is delicious with yogurt or ice cream.
