- 2 large apples, peeled and diced
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine diced apples, rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour melted butter over the mixture and stir until well combined.
- If desired, add chopped nuts and mix again.
- Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish and pour the mixture into it, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the apples are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Let cool for a bit before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
