Description

Light and fluffy cupcakes infused with almond extract and amaretto liqueur, perfect for special occasions or a cozy treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • ½ cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the almond extract and amaretto.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
  7. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cupcakes cool before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or in the fridge for up to a week. They freeze well for up to three months.
