- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp almond extract
- ½ cup amaretto liqueur
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the almond extract and amaretto.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or in the fridge for up to a week. They freeze well for up to three months.
